Coventry Youth Operetta Group presents AIDA
YOG proudly presents Elton John and Tim Rice’s 2000 Tony Award Winner Aida the Musical. A tale of love, loyalty and betrayal with an unforgettable score of soaring ballads and rousing choral numbers.
This is the story of forbidden love between the Egyptian leader Radames and the beautiful Ethiopian Princess Aida. Aida is captured and forced to be a slave to the Pharaoh’s daughter, who is also in love with Radames. When the Ethiopian enemies led by Aida’s father invade Egypt, Aida is faced with a dilemma – whom should she support, her father or her beloved Radames?
AIDA is a modern crowd-pleaser with fun, humour and emotion.
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International (Europe) | All authorised performance materials are also supplied by MTI Europe.
