Erin caught the dancing bug...
Our first story for #NationalStorytellingWeek is one of the Queen of the fairies Titania and the beautiful ballerina that will be transforming into her.
Erin McNeill began her dancing journey at the age of 4 in Vancouver, Canada. Her mum took her to a local dance school performance, Erin was mesmerised and decided there and then that ballet was what she wanted to do. Young Erin had fallen in love with the beauty of the art form, not to mention the sparkly costumes!
Erin followed her dream, trained hard and never gave up. She gained a place at Pacific Dance Arts in Vancouver and later danced with different companies throughout the USA and Europe, including Atlanta Ballet and Cork City Ballet. Erin also had the opportunity to perform with the English National Ballet in Swan Lake at The Royal Albert Hall in London.
Erin joined Ballet Theatre UK in 2016 and her first role with the Company was 'Juliet' in Romeo and Juliet' she also dances the role of The Sugar Plum Fairy in the UK tour of The Nutcracker.
