Volunteer: Levels


Each Group has its own set of levels, starting at 1 and progressing to 4. As a volunteer you will be asked to take on various responsibilities within the theatre, each level has its own set of duties within it.

Front of House

Group Level Responsibilities
Box Office 1 Ticket collection, running the Box Office for a show, along with the Level 3 Box Office Volunteer.
2 After a one-to-one Box Office Training Session:
Take payments, manage ticket printing, take calls from customers and use the basic functions of our ticketing software.
3 Handle advanced quieries, run reports, reconcile monies and exchange tickets.
4 Management level: Training new volunteers, adding and altering details on the ticketing system.
Usher 1 First point of contact for the audience, helping them in and out of the auditorium.
2 Reporting incidents to the Front of House Manager, assisting in evacuations.
3 Selling ice-creams, close relationship with the Fronf of House Manager.
4 With both Box Office level 3 and Bar and Kiosk level 2:
Act as Front of House Manager, brief staff, deal with monies, run the show from Front of House.
Kiosk 1 Assist in selling items, replace stock as directed, keep the area tidy.
2 Make hot drinks, serve customers.
3 Manage single-handedly, help set-up.
4 Cashing up, reporting low stock, train others on the Kiosk, deal with issues with visitors or suppliers
Bar 1 Shadow/obersve bar procedures
2 Collect glasses and keep the area tidy, empty bins, check and replenish stock on the night.
3 Serve drinks and snacks, handle money, be confident to 'challenge 21'.
4 Train other volunteers on the bar, oversee the bar and have knowledge of licencing rules, act as Bar Manager.
