Website Improvements

Our website has gone under a whole host of changes. You might not be able to notice them straight away; we've improved the navigation through the whole of the site, and brought it in line with our continuing growth and development.

So, what's changed?

What's On

As you may have noticed, the number of events happening at the Theatre has increased. A single, rather longer, list letting you know what shows we've got coming up wasn't practical any more. The What's On page has been split up into several categories: Theatre, Dance, Music, Comedy, Films and School. Speaking of Films, have you seen that we recently launched the Albany Picture House? You can learn more about the launch event here.

Show Pages

A show is more than just a description, so every single forthcoming show has had it's page tweaked to make it more exciting and easier to use. You'll be able to see show previews or trailers right from the page. Every page is layed out the same, so you'll be able to find age guidance ratings and running times in the same place on all pages. We've moved the Book Now button up, too, to make it completely hassle free to snag your tickets before anyone else.

Navigation

Have you ever been to a website and struggled to find what you were looking for? We've all been there. The Albany Theatre Website has been optimised so that everything is easy to find under handy menu options of: About Us, Your Visit, Support Us and Hire. This gives us great potential to keep expanding the site in the future.

News and Blog

You've probably noticed, but you're looking at our new and exciting part of the website dedicated to recent news and updates at the Theatre, and also some behind the scenes blogs: the News and Blogs Page! We'll keep this up-to-date with all of the latest info; it's a great place to come if you want to get something a little extra from the Albany Theatre. You can also interact with this content by posting comments to the bottom of each article.

Volunteers

If you've ever been to the Albany Theatre (which we hope you have!) you'll know that we rely on the support and enthusiasm of the Volunteers to keep running. As such, the Volunteers section of the website has been through a slight development. No longer a single page, we've separated the information into different pages to make it easier to find what you want. We've also added an option to Apply Online, so if you want to volunteer: it's never been easier!
