The Whispering Road

Three time shortlisted for BASE (British Awards for Storytelling Excellence) 2013, The Whispering Road is a stunning symbiosis of storytelling and music. The Whispering Road features two entwined Scandinavian stories of hope in the darkness, of two strangers bound by a ring and of the one who could not love.

There are, of course, trolls.

The Whispering Road is brought to life with accompaniment of traditional Scandinavian music on the Swedish nyckelharpa (keyed fiddle), kohorn (cow horn), accordion, guitar and three-part close harmony singing.

Seriouskitchen draws on the rich heritage of Scandinavian myths and stories to bring you a show blending Nick Hennessey's spellbinding storytelling with Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer's renowned musicianship and their collective wealth of experience of Nordic traditional folk culture.

Show starts at 7:30pm.

Ticket prices: Adults £10, children (under 16) £6, concessions (OAP/Unemployed) £6.

Discounted family tickets (2 adults and 2 children) are available for £25 - saving £7 on the individual ticket prices: select 'Family Ticket (2 adults and 2 children)' when making your online selection.

Special '2 for 1' offer for holders of valid NUS cards - 1 free ticket for every full price adult ticket purchased. This offer is only available in person at the box office on production of a valid NUS card.
