There’s a lot to look forward to this month from hilarious family shows to iconic bands to spooky tales, as well as lots of events to get stuck into!
FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY…
Starting tomorrow we’re very excited to host the first show of the Horrible Histories: Rotten Royals tour. The most diabolical royals in history are coming to Coventry in a show that’s fun for all the family, and educational too!
Then we’ve got the hilarious, completely improvised Shakespeare show ‘You’re Bard’ coming, where the audience decide everything from costumes to casting to plot!
The wonderful young actors over at YOG are also treading the boards again, this time with the musical ‘School of Rock’ based on the hit movie! Rock along to all the incredible songs whilst supporting the next generation of Coventry talent.
Then it’s time to set sail for hidden treasure with the swashbuckling pantomime ‘Treasure Island’. With dazzling costumes, hilarious jokes and toe-tapping musical numbers, as well as plenty of audience participation, you won’t want to miss out!
For the little ones in the family we’ve got the wonderfully creative ‘Claytime’, an interactive, sensory show for 3-6 year olds, where your little ones help shape the story!
Finally we’ve got a special furry guest coming back to the Albany, it’s the ‘Tiger Who Came to Tea!’ Experience the iconic tale direct from the West End packed with oodles of magic and mayhem.
BRING THE MUSIC…
We’ve got plenty of brilliant shows for the music lovers out there, starting with the hilarious ‘Burnin’ Love Bingo’, the Elvis tribute turned bingo night with award-winning comedian Tracey Collins!
Then we’ve got an evening of Pink Floyd played by local Warwickshire folk group ‘Meet on the Ledge’ and later it’s time for Voodoo Room, the incredible rock trio, who’ll be playing a selection of songs from rock legends – Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Cream.
Finally it’s time for The Furey’s, one of Irelands most legendary folk bands returning to the Albany theatre. Experience all the greatest hits live in a show you’ll never forget!
AND THERE’S MORE…
We’ve also got a selection of hilarious comedians coming to the theatre – choose from Adam Rowe, Ed Byrne and the Carry On show featuring Darren Haywood.
The iconic Magnavision is also coming to the Albany, offering audiences a taste of Indian music and dance that’s sure to get you moving.
And who doesn’t love a mystery… join Sherlock and Watson in a brand new comedy case, bursting with silliness and charm, or experience the real thing with Coventry’s True Crime Tales, bound to send chills down your spine.
