Exchanges and Refunds
Tickets are non-refundable but seat exchanges for the same show either on the same night or a different can usually be made subject to availability. An administration charge of £1.00 per ticket may be payable.
We do not offer refunds except in extreme circumstances.
The Albany Theatre reserves the right to alter discounts and prices at any time and to refuse admission.
Unclaimed Refunds Policy
In the unfortunate and rare circumstance in which a performance is cancelled, The Albany Theatre Box Office team will be in touch to advise all ticket holders on how to claim a refund.
The Albany Theatre is a charitable trust and is always grateful to anybody who would consider donating the cost of their ticket to the theatre, however, we will also offer the opportunity of a card refund, or credit to the customer account to use on another performance.
If a refund is unclaimed for twelve months (one year) from the date of the scheduled performance, the refundable amount will automatically be donated to the theatre.
Reservations
Tickets can be held for 3 days. For larger groups and school bookings we are able to extend the reservation to suit the requirements of the party. Out of fairness to other bookers, we do not offer reservations on tickets within the week of a performance, or if the performance is at near sell-out.
Supporting the Theatre
The Albany Theatre is run by a charity, supported by volunteers. In order to keep this beautiful building open and available for events, part of your ticket cost – just £1 – goes to supporting the theatre. This non-voluntary commission is a common feature in these days of financial constraint. We guarantee to use your £1 wisely to improve the facilities we can offer to make your experience better every time you come. For example, we recently reinstated the hearing loop in the theatre (with help from the Heart of England Community Foundation).
For other ways to help, please see the Support Us page.
Dancing in the Auditorium
Whilst we know our audiences love to get up and dance when they come to see live bands and tribute acts at the Albany Theatre, we do ask that you please be considerate of those around you and be aware this may obstruct the view for other patrons. Please do not dance in or block the aisles.
For those patrons who want to remain seated we recommend that they book their seats from row E, or in the Balcony (where the balcony is on sale), where dancing is prohibited due to the rake of the seats making it unsafe.
Please note that the access to the Balcony area is via stairs only and there is no lift access to the Balcony seating area.
