Work Opportunities

Where do you fit in?

The Albany Theatre Trust’s vision is “to promote well-being through Arts for Life”. This vision, backed by rigorous and prudent financial and organisation management, gained the endorsement of Coventry City Council. The Trust now has the opportunity to re-develop the theatre and create new facilities, including a studio theatre, in an additional 10,500 square feet of newly acquired space.

The Trust is not embarking on this new development in isolation. Arts for Life is set against the background of Coventry’s emerging ten year arts strategy, and the City’s bid to become UK City of Culture in 2021.

Technical and Administration apprenticeships

The Albany is now recruiting two new apprentices - one to join our Technical team and the other our Operations team as an Administration Apprentice.

The closing date for applications is now Sunday December 10th 2017.

This apprenticeship scheme is open to candidates of all ages, and the Albany Theatre Trust is an equal opportunities employer. Guidance and further information is available online from various agencies including the government.

The 620-seat Albany Theatre is run on behalf of the community by a Charitable Trust. Day to day management is in the hands of a professional team. The Albany Theatre exists to provide all members of the community we serve with opportunities not only to perform on our stage, but also to give their time as volunteers to support all areas of theatre activity.

We are always on the lookout for volunteers to join our technical teams- stage management, lighting, sound etc. but we also need help in front of the curtain with marketing, box office, front of house and managing our finances. See more about our teams below.

If you have experience that is great. If you feel you don't, or you are not sure how you can help, please don't be shy. Get in touch. There are so many things to do that we are sure to find someting that will benefit us and most of all will be a lot of fun for you. And we provide support, training and development opportunities so if you haven't got the skills but would like to learn them we really do want to hear from you.
