Guitar arrangements for folk & acoustic songs with Kevin Dempsey

Here’s a warm welcome to acoustic guitarists at all stages and of all ages, who would like to develop their style and technique. Coventry’s internationally acclaimed guitarist and experienced tutor, KEVIN DEMPSEY hosts another of his popular workshops, this time with the focus on how to create interesting and engaging accompaniment to folk and acoustic songs.

Kevin’s workshops are always enjoyable and relaxed events, and you’ll be amazed at how well you can play with a little helpful and friendly guidance. Just bring your guitar and join the fun

Admission is £8 or £5 concessions (including students and pensioners). Book in advance or pay at the Box Office on arrival. PLEASE NOTE that this April workshop takes place on the SECOND Saturday of the month, not the first.

Our Folk Freshers Workshops run monthly on Saturdays, usually from 11am in the recently opened Clive Benfield Studios in the Albany Theatre building. All are welcome and we’re especially keen to see young people taking this opportunity to pursue their journeys as musicians and performers. Each month, we feature different instruments and aspects of the folk arts.
