The Counterfeit Stones
Friday 21st March 2025

The Counterfeit Stones, Britain’s major Rolling Stones tribute act, are coming to the Albany Theatre for their first appearance in the Coventry and Warwickshire area.

The outrageous but brilliantly talented band will be asking Albany Theatre concert goers the chance to “Lets Spend The Night Together” on Friday 21st March 2025.

Why pay a fortune to see ants in a stadium when for a fraction of the price you can get up close and smell the faking brilliance of the Counterfeit Stones – described as a Rolling Stones’ hooky masterpiece.

Their debut Coventry appearance promises yet another night of utter copy-rock. Now in their 33th year, these fraud-stars continue to deliver the best “mock ‘n’ roll” show on the circuit.

This fantastic 60s concert will be packed with all the classic Rolling Stones hits, including “Start Me Up”, “Angie”, “Honky Tonk Woman”, “Paint It Black”, “Its Only Rock `n` Rock”, “Ruby Tuesday”, “Satisfaction”, “Lets Spend The Night Together” and many more.

Together with all the big hits, this superb night out comes complete with retro fashion, vintage guitars and a huge dollop of Spinal Tap humour. Its “Satisfaction” guaranteed.

One of the most impressive ingredients in the Counterfeit Stones’ show is the attention to the guitar arsenal. The Counterfeit Stones replicate as many of the popular Stones’ guitars as possible including the range of acoustics, basses as well as an electric sitar – all the special tunings are also applied.

Amongst the endless tributes to The Counterfeit Stones are:

“The most famous Stones band in England” – SIR MICK JAGGER

“They’re hilarious” – JERRY HALL

“Four out of five stars” – THE TIMES
“Your contribution was much remarked upon” – BUCKINGHAM PALACE
“Better than the originals” – THE GUARDIAN
“They brought back my youth” – SIR TIM RICE

The Counterfeit Stones have rightly won the plaudits as Britain’s number one Stones tribute act. Tickets for this night are now on sale and are sure to be in high demand.

IT’S PHONEY ROCK ‘N’ ROLL AND YOU’LL LIKE IT!

Dancing in the Auditorium

Whilst we know our audiences love to get up and dance when they come to see live bands and tribute acts at the Albany Theatre, we do ask that you please be considerate of those around you and be aware this may obstruct the view for other patrons. Please do not dance in or block the aisles.

For those patrons who want to remain seated we recommend that they book their seats from row E, or in the Balcony (where the balcony is on sale), where dancing is prohibited due to the rake of the seats making it unsafe.

Please note that the access to the Balcony area is via stairs only and there is no lift access to the Balcony seating area.

See Getting Here for more information on how to find us.

The Albany Theatre is a charity, supported by volunteers. In order to maintain this beautiful building, £1 of your ticket cost goes to our Theatre Development Fund. See Support Us for other ways to donate and help out.
