Too Much Too Young
Friday 16th May 2025
Too Much Too Young is a high energy theatre experience showcasing the all-encompassing musical journey of the forever loved and timeless 2Tone Ska movement with an aim to provide an unforgettable moment in time that delves into the history and impact of this iconic period. A truly unique 2-hour theatre spectacle, this non stop Ska party brings back to life the vibrant music and subculture that emerged in the late 1970’s, intertwining it with present day themes that still resonate strongly in 2024 and will continue to do so for many years to come. Combined with a nine-piece live band formed from some of the finest musicians across the country, our production brings the energy and authenticity of this influential movement directly onto the stage. A show that brilliantly explores how society, politics, and racial equality in both eras overlap, making it both relevant and engaging for audiences of all ages. The performance also incorporates multimedia screens allowing multi-level storytelling with celebrated visuals and rare archive footage that cleverly builds on the excitement and atmosphere of the whole experience.

Dancing in the Auditorium

Whilst we know our audiences love to get up and dance when they come to see live bands and tribute acts at the Albany Theatre, we do ask that you please be considerate of those around you and be aware this may obstruct the view for other patrons. Please do not dance in or block the aisles.

For those patrons who want to remain seated we recommend that they book their seats from row E, or in the Balcony (where the balcony is on sale), where dancing is prohibited due to the rake of the seats making it unsafe.

Please note that the access to the Balcony area is via stairs only and there is no lift access to the Balcony seating area.

See Getting Here for more information on how to find us.

The Albany Theatre is a charity, supported by volunteers. In order to maintain this beautiful building, £2 of your ticket cost goes to our Theatre Development Fund. See Support Us for other ways to donate and help out.
