General Terms
Tickets are sold by Albany Theatre Trust, Registered Charity Number 1151595, at Albany Road, Coventry CV5 6JQ on behalf of producers, promoters and event organisers. By purchasing a ticket by telephone, over the counter, via the website, or via an agency, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions of sale.
We reserve the right to make alterations to the advertised programme or casting where unavoidable and refuse admission. Latecomers may be required to wait for a suitable break or interval in the performance before being admitted to the auditorium.
Cameras, camcorders and other types of recording equipment are not permitted in the auditorium unless otherwise stated.
Ticket Sales
Tickets are offered for sale subject to availability. All ticket prices quoted by Albany Theatre Trust in print and online are subject to change at any time. We reserve the right to make additional targeted special ticket offers in addition to those published in brochures or on websites from time to time, and to withdraw them at any time.
When booking via box office (phone or over the counter) a 50p charge will be added to each ticket as an admin fee. There is also a 50p charge to have your ticket printed for collection from the box office.
Tickets are sold for use by the buyer only (and his or her party) and are not for resale for commercial gain by the holder. Albany Theatre Trust reserve the right to cancel tickets and refuse entry where this condition is breached.
The auditorium slopes steeply down towards the stage. Therefore, in the interest of health and safety, wheelchair designated spaces are reserved at the rear of the auditorium only.
Discounted Tickets
Discounted tickets may be available for selected shows, assuming the buyer meets the following criteria:
- A Lap Ticket is for a baby (0-2), with the intention of being sat on the lap of an adult in the same party. These tickets are made available for any event suitable for all ages.
- A Child Ticket counts as anyone under the age of 16 (3-15)
- An Adult Ticket is suitable for anyone aged 16-64
- An OAP Ticket is available to anyone aged 65+
- Companion tickets are available for free on a one-to-one basis with anyone with a disability requiring a carer to be present, including wheelchairs.
Discounted Tickets may be combined with other offers subject to the terms and conditions of those offers.
Ticket refunds
Tickets cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable.
If, for any reason, the Albany Theatre Trust cancels a specific performance we will offer to exchange tickets for an alternative performance of the same or higher seat value and subject to availability or to offer a full refund of the ticket value. No administration charge will apply in these circumstances.
If, for any reason, an entire run of a show is cancelled, a full refund will be offered to all ticket holders. No administration charges will be applied in these circumstances.
If there is a material change to the content or cast of a show, a full or partial refund may be offered at the discretion of the event promoter. A ‘material’ change is a change which, in the promoter’s reasonable opinion, makes the event materially different to the event that purchasers of the ticket, taken generally, could reasonably expect. The use of understudies in a theatre performance shall not be a material change.
Generally, no ticket price will be refunded when more than half the performance has taken place, or if the interval has been reached.
Ticket exchanges
If you are unable to attend a performance for which you have purchased tickets, the Albany Theatre Trust may, at their own discretion, offer a ticket exchange.
Exchanges can ONLY be made for performances of the same production, subject to an administration fee of £1.00 per ticket.
We are unable to exchange tickets for alternative shows.
All ticket exchanges are subject to availability of seats.
Under these circumstances, exchanges may be made for seats of a higher value subject to payment of the difference. Exchanges may also be made to seats of a lower value, however should you choose this option, no refund of the difference between the ticket value and the price of the replacement seat will be made.
These terms and conditions do not and shall not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. For further information about your statutory rights contact Citizens Advice or the Department for Business Innovation and Skills
