What’s On In October

Autumn is officially here and we’ve got some amazing shows as the nights get colder, including some very spooky shows just in time for Halloween!

SPOOKTACULAR ENTERTAINMENT…

The spine-chilling stage show, Most Haunted, is coming to Coventry led by Yvette Fielding, who will take you on the spookiest journey of your life – including seances, ouji boards and ghostly investigations. Then on Halloween itself we’ve got The Trial of Mary Ann Higgins, a recreation of the local trial of a Coventry murderess where you can decide for yourself, whether she really committed the murder…

BARRELS OF LAUGHS…

We’ve got plenty of hilarious shows this October, from a very drunk rendition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Shitfaced Shakespeare to iconic Irish comedian Jimeoin! Go back to your roots in A Good Neet Aht, as comedian Phil Green explores his upbringing in the pit villages of the North, equal parts hilarious and poignant.

Then there’s Efewarriboy, a Nigerian comic performing with special guests, and the Noise Next Door, the improvisation comedy troupe made famous by shows like Britain’s Got Talent and the One Show. Finally,  we’ve got a wine tasting comedy experience with In Pour Taste, with five delicious wines to choose from and at least five jokes to go with them!

FOR ALL THE FAMILY…

Bring the kids along with our great selection of family shows this October! Start it off with a bang in Science Museum Live, featuring crazy experiments and exciting explosions! Then relax with The Nutcracker, a beautiful adaptation of the classic ballet, the perfect introduction to the world of dance for your little ones. Next, the hilarious Noise Next Door are bringing their brand new children’s show to the Albany with The Adventure Academy… for Adventurers! Watch as the comedy troupe bring your kids silliest and craziest ideas to life!

Finally we’ve got some incredible shows this half-term, the very silly Mr Sleepybum followed by a brand new show, The Bear Who Went to War, a magical show based on a real story full of puppets, music and bears!

MUSICAL SPECTACULAR…

Music fans have a lot to look forward to starting with Mowtown’s Greatest Hits, a celebration of the music of the 60’s and 70’s. Then dance to the music of one of the greatest bands of all time, ABBA, in Thank You for the Music. Finally we’ve got a tribute to two iconic stars – Diana Ross and Lionel Ritchie, so get ready to dance the night away!

WHAT’S NEW AT THE ALBANY…

The walls look great this month as we’ve got our first exhibition, beautiful photos by the Jaguar Photographic Society. Pop in to have a look! We’ve also got the grand opening of our new spaces in Generate Launch with a performance and workshops by local community groups followed by a speech by the Mayor.

See you this October!
